Keith Olson, owner and operator of Keith's Kettle Family Restaurant was born and raised on a small farm south of Dassel MN. After high school, he obtained his business degree from St. Cloud State. This is not only where his hospitality career took off but it is also where he met his wife Jan of 30+ plus years. They eventually settled down south of St. Cloud near Clear Lake and raised two kids, Jacob and Andrea.

Keith managed the Perkins "in the Pines" in Sauk Rapids from the late 70's until 1989 when he became manager of Nelson Bros. Restaurant & Bakery in Clearwater, MN. Keith spent 12+ years at the travel plaza. Then in October of 2001 he bought the "Ole Kettle", a family restaurant also in Clearwater. The "Ole Kettle" soon became "Keith's Kettle" and is still where you will find Keith on most days. His wife Jan has also worked at the Kettle since 2006 when she sold her own cafe "The Townsedge" in St. Cloud. She still manages the kitchen today, whipping up homemade soups, specials and desserts every week. Their son Jake also works at the Kettle, splitting his time in the kitchen and managing with his dad out front.

So when you hear about family restaurants, just know that if you stop at Keith's Kettle it is a true "Family Ran Restaurant"!
